The villa is a Typical Umbrian Farmhouse, carefully restored but keeping some of its unique details, such as the wood beam ceilings and the terracotta tiles floor .
It is located between Umbria and Tuscany and thanks to its position it can be the excellent base to explore the historic and artistic wonders of the centre of Italy.
It has a breathtaking view of the green Umbrian hills and of the olive grove by the swimming pool.
The accomodation is on two floors:
On the ground floor you’ll find
- the Traditional Italian Kitchen with its open fire place, equipped with modern electrical appliances
- the Sunny Living Room with satellite tv and a wide window on the patio by the pool.
- 2 Double Rooms (one double and one twin) and
- 1 Bathroom
On the first floor :
- 2 large double bedrooms and
- 1 bathroom
There is a basement, too, you’ll find
- A second kitchen,
- A laundry room
- 1 bathroom.
Outside
There’s a veranda provided with tables and chairs to have dinner al fresco and a patio by the pool with other tables and
chairs to sip an aperitif contemplating the stunning view around.
A wonderful garden surrounds the house and the infinity pool, deckchairs and beach umbrellas are available to relax completely in the nature.
Looking at the valley, you’ll see the marvelous olive grove that gently goes from the pool down the hill: it’s one of the best view of the valley.
Neighborhood
In the neighborhood of Umbria and Tuscany there are a lot of medieval hilltop villages and towns to visit: Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, Montone, Citerna or Anghiari.
The most famous Umbrian and Tuscany cities (Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Spello, Lake Trasimeno, Arezzo, Cortona, Siena, Florence) are all within an hour drive from the house.
There are various local festivals and events throughout the year, many with a food theme: these are good opportunities to get a feel with local culture.
Every day, in a different town near the house, there is a local market where you can find
- organic vegetables, from local farm
- Porchetta, the typical Umbrian roasted pig (It’s a must you can’t absolutely miss!!),
- pecorino cheese, produced by local cheesemaker
- sausages and salami produced by local butcher
- and much more
